I am considered an out-of-network provider if your insurance is not listed above. However, many common insurance carriers with PPO plans will reimburse a good portion for our work together.

Another option is to request a Single Case Agreement with your insurance. If approved, you can work with an out-of-network therapist while getting the same coverage as if working in-network.

Prior to our initial consultation which is complimentary, it is advised you contact your insurance company to verify your out-of-network benefits for mental health services (often referred to as "behavioral health") with a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  Some helpful questions you can ask them are:

  • What percentage of the fee per therapy session is covered?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

Please note, if you utilize your insurance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session at each appointment.  At the beginning of each calendar month I will then provide you with a billing receipt, or "Super Bill," for the previous month that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Confidentiality

State Law and Professional Ethics require therapists to maintain confidentiality. However, I am legally and ethically mandated to break confidentiality for the following reasons:

  • Suspected child abuse, dependent adult or elder abuse.

  • Client seriously threatens bodily harm to another person(s).

  • Client intends to harm themselves.
